Support the Troops
Every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 until 3:00 p.m. Day Supports has a class called Support the Troops. Shirley Sundberg leads the class in a variety of card making, letter writing and craft activities. The results of the group's labours recently came to the attention of local M.P. Barry Devolin. Mr. Devolin assisted the Support the Troops class by providing the method of delivery. A military plane flew out of CFB Trenton just before Christmas with all of the items created in the Support the Troops class. The participants in the class include: David Wilson, Lynda Warner, Kelly Wilkinson, Loralee Thornbury, Scott Hartford, Yvette Lundy, Sharon Oliver, Ken Smith, Sonya Gimble, Sherry Dobson and Wayne Kerr.

Emboldened by their success the class continues to produce more items with the assurance that Mr. Devolin will assist them in transporting the future batches to the troops stationed out of country.
The Support the Troops class were also the recipients of a congratulatory certificate from M.P. Barry Devolin acknowledging their initiative and efforts.
