AAIDD The American Association of Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (formerly AAMR) is the oldest and largest interdisciplinary organization of professionals (and others) concerned about intellectual challenges and related disabilities.
Community Living Ontario (CLO)
The goal of CLO is that "all persons live in a state of dignity, share in all elements of living in the community, and have the opportunity to participate effectively." Their home page gives an excellent overview of what is available on the site.

The Roeher Institute works to promote the equality, participation and self-determination of people with intellectual challenges. Excellent research and publications are available from the Institute and can be ordered through this site.
Special Needs Planning Group
The Group's purpose is to assist families in establishing plans that will provide their family members who have disability with a decent quality of life for their entire lifetime. Although the website is mainly focused on financial planning, it hosts other resources that may also be of interest to families, including information about the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP).
