Because personal growth happens within the community as a whole, we also support the development of healthy, inclusive communities that value participation by everyone.
As Community Living Kawartha Lakes continues to grow and support more people, membership needs to grow with it. With caring community citizens as part of our association, we can act and be heard as a truly our association. By becoming a member, you show your support of the value in achieving our potential together.
The benefits of membership
Community Living Kawartha Lakes exists so that people with intellectual challenges and their families can achieve their personal goals and participate in the development of healthy, inclusive communities. By becoming a member you bring us closer to achieving our mission.
A membership with Community Living Kawartha Lakes also gives you the opportunity to:
- Receive up-to-date information about our association and its activities, including email notifications when our website has been updated
- Be notified of, and attend, membership meetings and special events, including fundraisers and information meetings for parents
- Attend and vote at our Annual General Meeting
- Network with like-minded volunteers and professionals
- Liaise with service providers in the City of Kawartha Lakes and beyond
- Join Community Living Kawartha Lakes committees - for example, the Strategic Planning or Fundraising Committees - and apply to join the Board of Directors if that is your interest
- Lend your voice, views and concerns to the work we do

Our Board of Directors
A voluntary Board of Directors governs community Living Kawartha Lakes. At our Annual General Meeting each year, Community Living Kawartha Lakes members elect our Directors, who make up the Board.
