The Almost Home Respite House is a place for children with special needs and adults living with a developmental disability to stay when their families need a rest from providing care.

Building Bridges

Building Bridges helps young people (17.5 to 21 years of age) living with a developmental disability to plan for the transition from high school to life in their community after graduation.

Community Connections Respite Worker Registry

The Community Connections Respite Worker Registry is a directory of screened workers who provide family respite. The Registry is available to anyone in the community who is looking for a respite worker/caregiver.

Community Homes

Community Homes offer assistance to adults with developmental disabilities who cannot live on their own without extra help.

Community Participation (CP)

Community Participation (CP) supports people living with a developmental disability to make choices in their community that are meaningful, enjoyable and consistent with their personal goals, giving them the opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills and feel like a part of the community.

Connex

Connex is our fee for service day program, offering participants of all skills and ability levels the opportunity to access meaningful social, recreational and leisure activities within a safe, staff-supported environment. Connex is a service for adults (18 and over) living with a developmental disability who want to fill their days with productive opportunities that are of their own choosing.

Day Nurseries Resource Funding Program

The Day Nurseries Resource Funding Program provides funding to childcare centres so that they can hire additional staff to support children with special needs in their programs.

Early Childhood Resource Program

Early Childhood Resource Consultants assist children zero to twelve years of age who have identified delays in development.

Early Learning Quality Initiative

The Early Learning Quality Initiative promotes professional development and high quality in early learning programs within the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton.

Employment Services

Employment services assist people living with a developmental disability to succeed in the workplace. Support is provided based on individual abilities, interests and goals.

Family Supports

The Family Supports program helps the families of children and young people who live with a developmental disability.

Foundations

Foundations helps young people (aged 21 to 28 years) who live with a developmental disability to transition from high school to living on their own.

Home Share

Home Share offers an alternative to the adults who live with a developmental disability and find it difficult or lonely to live on their own.

Job Quest

Job Quest is an employment centre that offers specialized supports and services. We help people who have a disability or other impairment to find and keep a good job while assisting employers to find, train and keep reliable and skilled workers.

Supported Independent Living

Supported Independent Living (SIL) provides personalized support for people with developmental disabilities who are living on their own in the community.

Youth Engagement

The Youth Engagement Program is a fully inclusive project partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Kawartha Lakes.
